Race 1 – 12:55pm
Miss Invincible has plenty of speed to burn and the step back to the 1000m suits the I Am Invincible filly. This is a hot little race with plenty of horses with good records which is why you are getting a good price. She will cross from the wide barrier and take up the running and it will take a good one to chase her down.

Hemmerle looks the obvious one here. He was just squeezed for room at a crucial stage which cost him some momentum in the same grade and distance just before Christmas. He is the one to beat but I won’t be backing him at his short quote.
Race 3 – 2:05pm
Ghostly is a horse that can require some winding up and I thought he ran through the line well first up over the 1000m. He’ll appreciate the rise in distance for this assignment and he is well in at the weights.

This is short of her ideal distance however Letter To Juliette can run a race fresh. The $34 available is well over the odds.
Toryjoy was headed in the final 300m at Randwick first up and showed a lot of ticker to pick up again and win the race. That is a sign of a horse that knows what it’s all about and she looks well placed to record back to back wins.

Frolic has trialled nicely heading into her first up assignment. Jay Ford will have plenty of options from the good draw but there looks to be plenty of pace in the race so taking a sit may be the best option. She has plenty of class and although this is a rough race over an unsuitable trip, her current quote is enticing.

Solo Mission, from the Chris Waller stable, has been racing consistently without winning of late. He was beaten 1.6 lengths by Mazaz two back and meets that horse 2.5 kgs better at the weights in this.
The handicapper has been extremely kind to Devil’s Lair and his connections. He drops 4 kg on his last start second behind Tunero. He has drawn a good gate and should be plenty fit.

Paret is a classy galloper who has a good first up record. He wasn’t asked to do much in a recent trial and I think he can start this prep off in winning fashion.

Thy Kingdom Come absolutely gapped them at Randwick last start on the Kesington track. He ran right through the line suggesting the 1500m will not be an issue and he will appreciate the drop in weight.

Astoria has not been far away at his last three race starts and I think he has found his grade. I believe the 1800m is his ideal distance however an each way bet is safest.
