Nashville Predators v Buffalo Sabres
There’s no more daunting task in hockey than traveling to face the Predators. The Sabres have been one of the league’s biggest surprises so far, but they’ll have their work cut out for them if they are to take down a Nashville team boasting a strong 10-5-0 home record. To make things even more difficult, the Predators have allowed the second-fewest goals in the league, which should test this young Buffalo line up away from home.
Philadelphia Eagles v Washington Redskins
It’s now or never for the Eagles as they attempt to transform their losing record into a potential last minute dash for a Wild Card spot. At 6-5 the Redskins have the same intentions, which makes this battle between two NFC East rivals all the more intriguing. Washington are 5-2 in their last seven games against Philly, however the quarterback play of Colt McCoy last week was less than inspiring. Much of this game will fall on Eagles running back Josh Adams, and if Philly’s defence can finally put together a strong game at home, they should be a safe bet at the line.
Brighton v Crystal Palace
Both Brighton and Crystal Palace recorded a much needed win over the weekend, which makes this cellar dweller battle a little more interesting. Both sides are now unbeaten in their last two games, although the bookies do seem to be having a tough time separating the two. Brighton have won two of their last five meetings against Crystal Palace and are also 4-1-2 as the home favourite. This should be a pretty scrappy game, but it’s one that could potentially see Brighton into the Top 10.
