Odds on favourite Girl Tuesday is definitely the one beat after she worked home from back in the field to score on debut over 1400m at Newcastle. So Bizarre is the winner of two of his last three starts and makes his own luck up on the pace and will look the winner at some stage in the straight. Oakfield General and Chosen Prince’s recent form indicates that they will be around the minor placings.
Race 3 – 2:05pm
The Team Snowden trained Sir Owen has been primed for a bold first up showing with two recent barrier trial wins at Randwick and Wyong and has been installed as the short priced favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au. Stablemate Shinju looks to be one of the main dangers after finishing third at his last two starts at Kembla Grange and Wyong. Big Bad Bruce has trialled well for his return to the race track and C’Est Davinchi doesn’t have to improve much to break his maiden status after being runner up at his last four starts before a spell.

Galina dominates the betting at Ladbrokes.com.au but the Team Snowden trained filly will need plenty of luck from the outside barrier in the thirteen horse field. The Chris Waller trained Collectively is facing the starter for the first time and has shown plenty of improvement in recent barrier trials. The Foxwedge filly has the blinkers on, has drawn a nice barrier and has Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle. Rose Of Savannah and Oakfield Romance are for fitter for recent outings.

Race 5 – 3:20pm

Savatiano has the form o the board with wins from her last three starts but will have to overcome a horror barrier to stretch her winning run to four. The Bjorn Baker trained Irithea has consistent form and will get a nice run from her good barrier draw. Princess Posh and Miss Que both have each way claims.

Race 7 – 4:35pm
Carzoff and Dark Eyes ran the quinella in the Listed Wyong Gold Cup (2100m) and get the chance to run one, two again in the Newcastle Gold Cup. Harper’s Choice wasn’t far back in the Wyong Gold Cup and was a winner at his two previous starts at Rosehill and could figure in the finish again. Goathland has a nice drop in weight and Mongolian Wolf looks to be the best of the two Darren Weir trained runners.
